My Learning & Teaching Philosophy
I love teaching and learning. To me, teaching is a student-centered activity. It is all about you, the student, meeting your needs, helping you achieve your goals, and preparing you for your future.
My overriding objective is to do all I can to engage your talents, skills, and interests and motivate you to become an active learner as you acquire knowledge, improve your skill sets, and create a future that is most meaningful to you.
About Me
In addition to teaching, I am also a student. My scholarly areas of interest are leadership and organizational behavior. I have authored a book titled, “Mastering Change Through Conscious Choice, Twelve Secrets for Surviving and Thriving in the New World of Work.”
I was born and raised in the Bronx in New York City. I arrived in California courtesy of the United States Army. After leaving the military, I co-founded a mortgage company, served as the Executive Director of the California Head Start Association, and, with two colleagues, created and produced a television talk show called “CounterPoint.” I spend my downtime enjoying my home life, traveling, and reading.
